Ian Kenneth Bird came to speak at the Hyde Park Picture House, which i thoroughly enjoyed the talk and i found him extremely inspiring. his stories about life after University and landing his first big job with carhartt and how he got to that position was extremely enlightening, and i left the talk feeling more confident and inspired to shoot. I like how he emphasised the importance of being true to your work, as well as the benefit of self publishing your work in self-made zine's or photobook's and how his first job from Carhartt came from one of his books. Similarly, his work with Dior, which i was extremely impressed by, came from a photo book. he shoots solely on print, which has spiked my interest in that medium and i will definitely like to try and experiment with that format.
